About the founder of this website

Over the last four years or so I have developed a keen interest in property investment, which has now become a passion, and something that I am spending more and more time on.

At the beginning I was keen, but uncertain - after all it's a big step to take when you have never done it before. So I set about finding out more before taking the plunge. I went on the Russ Whitney 3 day course as well as joining Nicola Cairncross' Money Gym, which includes property investment as a part of the programme.

I have also read many books about the subject, as well as numerous newletters, articles, websites and listening to CDs, as I think you can never know enough, and each one adds to your knowledge and confidence. I ahve also done lots of courses, and been to many networking events sharing ideas and knowledge with other investors. I have certainly learnt a lot from my experiences of searching for and buying property as well.

I currently have 25 investment properties of my own, with 5 more on the way.

I used to run a property sourcing service, where I find properties for other people, either looking to move to the area, or looking to invest but not having the time to travel down and look around themselves. I have also done some joint venture deals where I buy properties with another investor.

Now I tend to help people through joint ventures or mentoring

I also founded JUST Property Networking which meets on the second Tuesday of every month near Gatwick

I always like to meet other investors and share ideas and stories, I think it's a great way of learning more, developing useful contacts and getting inspiration.

My background is in accountancy, I am a Chartered Management accountant by training, but often found myself coaching and mentoring clients. For the last three to four years have been working on business growth and start up support, coaching business owners and creating resources to help them. I sold my accountancy business to focus on this exclusively - but that was before I got into property!

I have written an eprogramme for people starting in business - StartUp 101 , have been a contributory author to the brand new business book The Business Detective's Casebook and to the AVN book, Small Business, Big Difference; I have written three tips booklets including Secrets of the Successful Entrepreneur, Buy To Let For Beginners and The Conference Planner. I have more tips booklets in the pipeline.

I have also been known to do conferences in my spare time, and have chaired three national conferences for CIMA.
